Good thing I like yogurt.

When I went carb free in August, many of my usual breakfast foods were no longer options. I used to enjoy cereal, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, cream of rice, and yogurt. Well, my options suddenly became yogurt!

I'm pretty committed to eating as few chemicals as possible and to eating organic dairy products. My favorite brand is Stonyfield Farms. Their yogurt is organic and delicious and family owned. I think I should buy stock in their company too...
I quickly became creative ways to make plain yogurt taste good and be filling. I've taken to adding a tablespoon of peanut or sunbutter and then adding a dash of stevia for sweetness and vanilla extract for flavor. Yum-o! And so filling, I eat breakfast around 6:30 most days and am not hungry until close to 11 or 11:30!
I've also been making yogurt/nutbutter smoothies with yogurt or kefir. And I've discovered some healthy and low carb drinkable yogurts too. Even the kiddie yogurt tubes have made their appearance in my yogurt filled fridge.  And the odd bottle of wine, apparently!
The other awesome thing about Stonyfield, is their rewards system. Each yogurt has a reward code on the lid. I enter it into my rewards account and get points to get free stuff. I've already earned a year suscription to Whole Living magazine and have also earned 7 free yogurts. At the rate I am going I will be earning so much more!

It's a good thing I like yogurt, but there are times that I think I am going to turn into a yogurt!

Haha - well, yougurt IS good, I like it. Maybe I wouldn´t like it so much every single day, but it´s ok for breakfast.

Great reward system! :-)

I like yogurt drinks and frozen yogurt, but I am only just beginning to start liking yogurt for breakfast. I cannot take it by itself, though; always with cereal. :)

Too funny! I just finished my greek yogurt breakfast while reading this post. I love plain yogurt with fruit in it. I should probably read back post to see what else you eat being carb free. I would love to get to that stage in my life. What else do you eat say for lunch?

Good for you! I'm such a carb addict. :) Pretty neat that you get a reward, too!

Haha...I try to go carb free as much as possible too, and can totally relate to your fridge EXCEPT...I have more bottles of wine that you do in there! :). I love adding a bit of vanilla extract too BUT...have been finding I might like almond extract a bit more these days with a very light drizzle of honey. Okay...heading to my fridge now :)
