Back in the habbit brackets

Notice anything different?
Here's a clue, it's in my mouth....
What about now? Can you see it yet?
What about now? And by the way, if you haven't been able to tell yet, I love you!
But in case you think I'm off my rocker, nope. I went back into, yes back into, braces today. Nearly 10 years to the day when I got them off the first time around (after 4.5 years of being in them too!) I am back for unexpected round 2.
I went with the clear brackets and it's actually pretty hard to see them, unless of course, I hang my mouth open and practically stick my iphone into my mouth. And of course within minutes of returning to school one of my students loudly proclaimed, "what happened to your teeth?" Ah, 6 year olds with no filters...

It is weird to feel something like this in my mouth, but I have a feeling in a few days I'll forget they are even in there (wishful thinking, maybe?).  So for now, it's all about the soft food diet: lots of yogurt, pudding, ko-jel, and soups.

Good for you...and I'm jealous. :) I had braces in my teens too, but after my wisdom teeth came in (and were removed) everything shifted again.

Love the pics!

I really couldn't see them and think how wonderful your teeth will be when you are finished with them.

Sounds yummy LOL! Good for you, though! And thanks for visiting. :-)

Are they brackets or Invisaligns? Either way...I couldn't see them AT ALL (well, until that last shot, haha). My sister went into braces when she was in her mid-40's!!! She often said it was so bizarre to go thru menopause wearing braces, haha!

Oh wow- I think that is great!!!! I have thought of having mine done again- my teeth have moved so much- guess I should have worn my retainer more.

I couldn't see them either! :c) I had braces awhile back, I think I need them again but haven't looked into it lol

Is that Invisalign? I couldn't see. :)

I was wondering if the clear ones would still hurt as much as the metal ones? Though I didn't need braces, I'd still wanted to wear them when I was younger, so I'd put tin foil on my teeth and walk around pretending I had braces on! =)

You are adorable ;)

I had braces as a tween and remember them well. Hooray for pudding...and milkshakes ;)

Clear looks like a good choice and you have a lovely smile.

Haha, this was a fun post! :-D

But why are you getting them, your teeth look perfect as they are?

I would have never see them if you haven't said anything. That reminded me old times and the pain related to wearing them. But it's worth it!
So have a a good soup, milkshake diet (all good anyway) till you can eat better soon!

Maybe you'll get to wear those really cool neon rubber bands. I always liked those the first time around. Hope it's not too painful!

hope your getting used to them again! I never had braces, but my oldest daughter did (for 4 years) & darn her! she doesn't wear her retainer! I think she probably lost it in law school!
You look just fine! the clear ones are sure nice... can you drink tea & coffee without staining them?

Good for you! You're looking good, and those braces are barely noticeable. Well, I hope you get used to them!
