3 years

3 years ago I really started blogging (besides my first 365 blog) when I wrote my first post here at Random-osity.

It wasn't for a joyous reason or a fun reason. It was to write my thoughts about my Zayda dying that morning. Some blogiversary right? I'll never forget it...

Avi has scanned some amazing family pictures that I have been meaning to post, so why not some wonderful Zayda memories!
That is the whole Dannerhersh family. Zayda is the cute little boy (to quote him) "picking [his] nose." Then there is mom, Uncle Lou, and Zayda. Mom has to be 4ish there.
I will always remember how dapper Zayda was. Always dressed, always stylish. The last time I saw him we was in a polo shirt, nice shorts, socks, shoes, hair done. The works. The picture in the hat just makes me crack up every time I see it!
I still cannot believe it's been 3 full years since Zayda died. I honestly think about him everyday; I think about what he's missed, what he would have thought about my accomplishments, how much he would love Noam. I think about him and how he provided for mom, Avi, and me. My accomplishments today are in many ways because of his love and sacrifices.

And then there is the 3 years of solid blogging. The amazing people I have "met," the stories I have shared, the photos I have taken. It is amazing. I never thought I would get 2 followers let alone 106 with regular (and amazing) folks who comment on my posts and suport me and my photography! So thank you, you have been an amazing community, and I love being able to document my thoughts, feelings, and adventures and ride this amazing and often Random life!

Here's to more Good. Random. Fun!
the long road

This is very touching. I think about family that has gone before me, and wish they could see and feel what is going on here. He was lucky to have you love him. A very nice blogiversary.

Everyone should have a childhood picture of themselves picking their nose! I'm fairly certain we all did it - LOL!

Congrats Tamar. I've glad we've connected thru blogging. always a smilely place to stop for me.
3 years is a long time, and then it's not. While it may be a sad reason to start blogging, I think perhaps in that sadness you found a way to bring joy, to yourself and others.
My grandmom passed about 10 years ago. I think of her not everyday, but often. she is sort of like an angel sitting nearby-I hope you feel the same peacefulness when you think of your Zayda.

What a beautiful and touching post! It is difficult but wonderful to remember the people who have helped create who we are. I love that picture of him in the hat too!

Congratulation! I have found blogging to be so much more than sharing a few photos, which is why i started...my world is much bigger and kinder now. My dad passed away almost 40 years ago...I was 14 at the time. I too think of ll he has missed...heartbreaking. looking forward to restored relationships in heaven.
