Project 52: week 4 around the sun

This week I will remember for a long time!

Sunday, mom and I celebrated my birthday a few days early with a day in NYC - we saw Chicago and then had a delicious Indian supper.

Then on Thursday I kicked off being 25! It really was such a special day. My family sent me sweet cards and balloons and at school my students showered me with cards and hugs and I smiled the whole day!

Highlight of the week: Having a wonderful 25th birthday. Between my early celebration with mom, my student's being so adorable, and a fun dinner with friends it was a great way to kick off my year!

Favorite teaching moment: Finally trying language arts centers, just like my math centers, but for LA. My kids are actually happy for LA, which makes me wonder why I didn't try this months ago?

Random-osity: This week it was the coldest it has been in 2 years, since my birthday that year actually...it was fun to hear the meteorologists mention Jan. 24, for a few days though, made my feel oddly special!

Your turn and all the details:
- Post 1 photo or an many as you like each week on Monday.
- The button or text link should be present in your post - but not absolutely necessary.
- Please visit some other blogs & leave some love & encouragement.
- Submit the URL of your blog post - not your home page.
Can't wait to see all your photos each week as we venture through 2012!

I'm here again!! Wow. I might start truly remembering this.
Your birthday sounds super duper fun. I bet your students were adorable. They get so excited about these things.
LA centers, math centers, science centers, how about rain forest centers? Kids love just about anything-especially when done right like you're doing.
Happy day.
