Song-ography: Enter fall

The summer days are fading...
Darker days are growing near...
Fallen leaves lie undisturbed.

I just love the change from summer to fall. The lingering light and glow of summer ushers in the crispness of fall. Before we know it the leaves will all lie on the ground and the air will hint at signs of snow.

I don't think I could ever live in a place with just one season. I need the change each year, but for now, it's forever autumn...

It's 47 degrees this morning- I think fall has finally arrived!

I love the change of seasons too but I wouldn't mind if we eliminated winter.

Beautifully illustrated and stated. I agree, I am a season person even if as I get older I'm good with a couple of them in moderation (winter and summer). Even with that said, I suspect it is the endurance of extreme heat that makes the crisp coolness of fall so refreshing and the burden of snow and cold that makes that first sign green so extra special.

Enjoy your weekend.

Lovely photos. I wish I could visit your corner of world right now. We have temps in the 90s here. But some trees are showing red leaves. Enjoy autumn!

Well done. I like the lone leaf shot. I'm with you about having all the seasons (except I don't care much for snow) but winter comes and usually here doesn't last too long so I'm okay with it.

Agreed. There is something so delicious about the light in autumn!

I am SO with you. I do love my warmer weather & beaches, but I would grow weary of that, I believe, year around.
The leaves are turning quickly here in the MItten and the ground is already blanketed with the carpet of autumn colors.

Your leaves are C-H-A-N-G-I-N-G! so pretty. I know what you mean when you say you wouldn't be able to leave anywhere there wasn't four seasons. Wish we had MORE distinction between our seasons. But, FALL is pretty anyway.

Hey Friend....
Nice contrasts in your two images, up and down, green and brown, etc.
I think I prefer the first with the pretty bokeh lens flare.
Hope all is well, I've been enormously busy but things are quieting a bit so hope to be back in the swing soon.

I'm with you. As much as I complain about the snow, ice, sleet in the winter....I can't imagine living somewhere that I couldn't experience ALL four seasons to their fullest. I truly think I love the spring and autumn so much because I have to get thru the winter months. Love that first shot. So simple at first glance, yet intricate the more you look at it. Stunning. Thanks for joining in on Song-ography.

We had a cold snap as well, so the leaves are finally starting to change. Fall is my favorite time of year, and your photos are lovely!

I know what you mean. I could never ever give up Fall. Now, I might not mind a milder winter if it was possible, but Fall is an absolute MUST!

I agree that the changing seasons are nice. While I do love them all, I think fall is certainly my favorite.
