Song-ography: Lazy is as lazy does

I'll be lounging on the couch...oh yes I said it...
I said it...today I just don't feel like doing anything...

It's been a long learning curve, but I am learning to be lazy. I used to think being lazy meant watching tv, while cleaning, and organizing, and doing 2042 other things.

Now I am learning to just sit. Just be. Just relax.

It's hard, but it's not too bad.

2014: the year of learning it's ok to be lazy.
*and how's this a start at being lazy - took one picture for this song and said "good enough!"

It is really a trick to just BE, ans something that i am not very good at... at least not for more than a few minutes. Cute selfie!

cleaning, organizing & those 2,042 other things are purely over rated. :)

Being "lazy", or just relaxing without a project to do, is so very difficult for me.

Laziness gets a bad rap. Sometimes you just need to take time to eat your mind and rejuvenate your soul. Embrace it!!

And by "eat your mind" I mean REST your mind. Darn autocorrect. I was being lazy and don't check my post before submitting :)

Teach me Obi Wan! I'm really bad about this. I was so good at this in my youth, but now I feel guilty and fidgety. Glad you are learning. I am going to let myself watch a million hours of TV tonight. DA and Sherlock! Gonna be a late night.

It has its challenges, but an occasional "lazy" day can also do wonders to replenishing the mind, the spirit, and the achy body.

....I think they call it Sabbath. Not even kidding a little bit. It's taken me many, many years to understand the value of a day of rest - It's wonderful that you are grasping this at this point in your life! May we all join you!!!

I can tell from your posts that you are a driven, super-productive person. I have enough of that in me to understand. To have a day that's not totally planned out freaks me out, still. But I'm learning to relax more . . . Have a great weekend, and do some relaxing!

Sometimes we all need that! I had a lazy day yesterday!

I'm using this snow day as an excuse to be lazy.

Unlike you, laziness is a natural talent for me! haha. Embrace it, you deserve it. I like how the focus of this shot is on your body language and not your face...is some ways, that speaks more to me. Something we can all relate to. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.

Good for you, taking some time to be lazy! I have a hard time being still. I feel like I always need to be doing something.

Good for you! I struggle with being lazy, but I do have a bevy of activities that are relaxing to me.
