Song-osity: In the mirror

Tell me it is what you see...
Heroes don't look look like they used to, they look like you do...
When  I was in college, I attended a Jewish Education Conference one summer and participated in the program geared towards future young educators. One of our presenters said something that has stuck with me to this day: "teachers are super heroes."

I actually believe, that if you love what you do. If you are invested and devoted and dedicated in something, you are a super hero. There are super heroes everywhere...you just need to know where to look.

Maybe it's in the mirror.

Heroes walk among us. Superb choice of images to illustrate the point.

You ARE a super hero Tamar! So often we do not know the "story" of the person standing right next to us. Because Super Heroes are often in disguise...both in the comics AND in real life. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.

Aww, I love that! You truly are! You inspire with your teaching, zest for life, and all that you have overcome. I'd buy you a cape!

Ah! I loved your shots and the blurred mirror and then when I read your closing - WOW!
Your post is exactly like the ones Kathy mentioned today - the kind that says 'why didn't I think of that!' :)
LOVE it!

I love your words-and that selfie-today. Yes, teachers are super heros. One bad teacher and a child has a set-back. One year a great teacher, they grow by leaps and bounds. Your passion for teaching comes thru each time you write about it. Your students are blessed.
