The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 11

The Good:
I have never been a time change fan, but this year, with the bitter cold (it's still here) and the snow (yeah, got more of that too) I was ready for more daylight. I am loving the increased daylight now, and getting home when it's light out. The late afternoon sun just makes this city even more gorgeous than ever.
And actually, it's even gorgeous in a hazy cold fog.

The Random:
Last weekend, I was looking for something in my car and came across some old CDs I stashed in there. I have spent all week flashing back to middle school and my S Club 7 obsession (don't judge me!). It's been a fun throwback while driving and I may or may not be singing on the top of my lungs as I drive down 128 each morning now....

The Fun:
On Friday, in addition to all the Purim celebrations at school, we celebrated Pi day! I taught the kids about Pi and we made "Shushan Skylines" using the digits of Pi and I taught them this fun math joke. Major points if you can get it!

Oooh LOVE the fog! And it's super fun to dig out those old high school tunes for a trip down memory lane. It's ten years for me this year, what about you?

Such a pretty city whether cold, or warm! Love the buildings you show us! I'm dying over Those CDs. Definitely remember them. They were a big hit when we were adults living in Thailand. They were always on Thailand MTV, who still played music videos.

While my body took some time adjusting to the change - I will admit, I like daylight in the evening. Great city scenes and cool fun learning games for the kids.

Cute riddle to boot. :)

I'm loving more daylight too, and the fact that the sun rises a little later.

I've ALWAYS been a fan of the Spring forward, but NEVER a fan of the Fall back time changes. That extra hour of sunlight in my waking hours means the world to me!

I'm visiting from Nancy's blog and enjoyed reading several of your blog posts. I'm a retired teacher - it looks like you're doing some creative learning games with your students! Keep up the great work.

Greetings! I'm new to the hop as well, finding you through Nancy today. Fun!
I feel the same about the time change.. never much a fan. But this year, the added light is welcome - anything to feel like spring is on it's way! We still had -17 over the weekend. Blah! :)

This weekend was a pretty random weekend for all of us. There were so many different holidays going on all over the world, that if you needed a reason to celebrate just pick one.

randomness - oh the fun of it!
I am doing a 365 project this year - that is pretty random most days.
Have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping by my blog last week - sorry I didn't get back to you - I got so far behind last week.

I was totally unprepared for Pi day and forgot this year. Bummer! Next year I'm making pie and we'll eat it at 3:14 once the kids are home from school. Glad you and your class had fun with it and enjoy that extra hr of light. It is nice even though I'm not a fan of the earlier start.

definitely did not understand the math joke till I saw the answer in the comments! I wanted to make a pie for pi day but it didn't work out. did you know it's actually pi month? 3/14!

Unknown said... {Reply}

Ha! Love your pie math problem - even though I didn't understand until I read someone's comment. :)

I have no idea who S Club 7 is. Guess I'm too old for them. :)

Have a great week! I'm late linking up but better late than never, right?
