Summer means more time to read and relax. I love reading on the couch in the afternoons. One week into break and already one and a half books read!
The Random:
Took 4 tries to get my coffee order right at Dunkin' the other day. I ordered a large iced coffee; it took 4 tries to get them to not put cream or milk or a turbo shot in it! Seriously, "1 large, iced coffee please" - I can be a mumbler, but I spoke clearly (all 4 times)!
The Fun:

Summer reading - for fun and not because it was assigned to you - fun stuff. Even though both of my kids were assigned some amazing books to read over their high school (and middle school) years - "having to read" versus "getting to read" really threw some shade on it.
My daughter watched the fire show I believe in Boston the summer she was at Brown - cool stuff. (of course, the years she's actually studied at Wellesley, she hasn't been there in the summer or I'm sure we'd have some pictures to show for it now that she actually USES the cameras I've been buying her all these years ... [smile/grimace]

The only time I've ever seen a fire show like that was in Barbados on my honeymoon...and that was (cough cough) thirty years ago!! Really fun shot of the straw and iced coffee!

I've really been enjoying the time to read lately too, the same thing happens to me when I order things, and that fire show looks awesome!
My oh my Tamar, you have lots of patience. I bet that's one of your qualities that makes you a great teacher. I would have just said "forget it" and driven away after the 2nd try since I hadn't paid yet. I'm retired; so I can go somewhere else because I have all the time in the world. :)

Love the fire jugglers! We have some that perform around here. They are incredible to watch!
