If there's a maker up above...
You show me hate, and I'll show you love. It's not about your religion. The world is a scary and sad place right now. So much hate, anger, sadness, and trouble. Why can't we all get along? Put our differences aside and recognize them rather than fight over them.
At services this weekend, I listened as we said the prayer for peace.
"we have not come into being to hate or to destroy, we have come into being to praise and to love"
I wish that we, as a world, can find a way to fight violence and hate with love. To heal the world of suffering and grow to appreciate our different cultures, beliefs, and religions, not fight over them.
I hemmed and hawed over whether to even share this post. I don't wish to start any debates, I just hope that we can all come toegther with the common goal of sharing this world and enriching it with our beliefs and rich cultural heritage. That is what makes this great world go 'round, not hate.

Yes. A big, wide-armed, open hearted YES!
Peace, friend. :)
Namaste'. Thank you for your thoughts and sharing them at Song-ography.
It's so true - sad & scary. I fear for the future & pray for calm & peace. Hugs!
Sixties hippie Grandma agrees.
Sad sad commentary of our world right now.
Amen! Your photo goes well with your thoughts because stained glass was invented to let the light in. What we need is more love and light. Yes!
I wholeheartedly agree!
I think this is something we can all agree on. The world is frightening right now on so many levels. The hard part is knowing that this peace will probably not just appear or evolve. We need a big dose of social justice right now. And we need for people to accept personal responsibility for their role in creating instability. Hard topics.
I agree. It's so sad to see the world as it is now but we know the Maker of Peace is over seeing all that goes on and someday people will answer for their actions.
The stained glass is beautiful! And what you said is indeed well said.
