Love the colorful squashes. Do you teach penmanship at your school or just give the little ones the written alphabet and leave them on their own? Our local elementary doesn't teach penmanship and doesn't grade or comment on the student's writing. I think it's this thing about letting them be individuals and not all write with the same neatness like robots. I don't know but I do know that penmanship should be taught as far as I am concerned. Most of what I read from the kids is written sort of phonetically. What do you think Tamar, good or not?

Great selections!
I was thinking the same, I don't believe our kids are taught cursive writing here either.

I love what you did with the Window shot.
Four Square, Great choice, I remember playing that game at school.
So great to know you are teaching cursive writing at school. So many kids are just not being taught how to write anymore and that is sad. Very nice colorful patterns on the squash. Love me some Sweet Dumpling squash.

LOL about the cursive thought! I love the different patterns on squash and pumpkins.

So nice to hear you're teaching cursive. Not the norm anymore, I'm afraid. It's funny, my kids learned cursive first - in France - printing came way later! Always love when you "watercolor" your shots!

My kids enjoyed 4-square a lot when in elementary school. Someone recently told me that they had discontinued teaching cursive in the local schools - crazy!!! Gorgeous edit on the window and love the designs in the squash.

Nice photos. I like the curve shot. I loved playing Four Square in grade school. I would probably still like it if anyone knew how to play it now! The squash was a great choice for pattern.
