From a distance the world looks blue and green...
All summer I searched high and low for sunflowers to photograph. Finally, in summers waning hours I stumbled upon two, standing tall.
The distance these flowers grow, the heights they achieve, all in a few short months.
As a child, we grew sunflower some summers in our garden. I marveled at how tall they became, once I was envious of how tall they were and the view they had. But, I imagine if you're only going to grow for a few months, going the distance and reaching such lofty heights is quite the achievement!

going the distance is always quite an achievement and always something to strive for. Glad you caught up with two, gorgeous sunflowers. I've seen several around this year, but none within shooting distance.
I love sunflowers (along with Gerber daisies!); they are such happy, happy flowers. :)
Pretty sunflowers Tamar. I've always loved them.
I'm not a big fan of yellow flowers (unless mixed in the garden) but I do find sunflowers very appealing...they do pack a punch!
And that blue and green only gets more amazing when the bold yellow of sunflowers gets thrown into the mix!!
Very nice light and exquisite shades sunflowers, very nice pictures!
Oh how nice! The quintessential sunflower. The second one is my fave.
Ooooh beautiful!!
These are so pretty! I haven't found any this year to photograph. They are so fun to grow!
I love sunflowers. The sky backdrop is really nice.
Fabulous thoughts and insight Tamar. No flower says "summer" more to me than the beautiful sunflower. So tall, beautiful and regal. Thanks for sharing at Song-ography.
I think of sunflowers for this time of year (late summer) and I love them! I've never had good luck growing them but I admire them from afar or buy them in bouquets. You got some great shots!
They are like floral representation of summertime

So lovely. It was hard to find sunflowers around here this summer too. I spotted some this morning though and got some more pictures.
