Song-ograhy: Perfect

It's the perfect time of year...
Try to see the world beyond your front door...

Right now, in writing, the kids are writing opinion pieces responding to the question: "which season is the best, winter, fall, summer, or spring?"

As I've modeled strategies in our mini-lessons, I've tried to use my own ideas about each season, to be unbiased. But then, I realized, as I sat with all the kiddos conferencing on their writing and hearing the reasons that support their opinions, that I truly love every season. They're reasons reminded me why I love living in Boston: 4 distinct seasons.

But, for now, it is fall. Full blown fall. And I am in love. The leaves are colorful and blanket the entire area. The sun sets early and as it does it's painting the sky in the most amazing colors, and those red cups are back putting the holiday cheer into the air.

I just all the seasons, but right now, this is the best time of year!

Amazing photos! The colours are unreal. I really need to see New England in the fall sometime.

Tamar, thanks for the reminders of the Midwest where I grew up. The leaves on the ground in the multitude of color is really gorgeous.

One of the things that I miss about living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is the lack of fall color. We get a flash of it here and there, but nothing like those pictures. Palm trees and magnolias don't drop their leaves. About the only things we have that comes close are the Bradford pear trees, and while they are gorgeous - they don't give that feeling like fall.

Me too - love all four seasons and really love living where they are so distinct! It's been crazy beautiful - I've literally been walking around like a little kid, making the leaves rustle and kicking them in the air!

For the first time in several years we have managed to have an extended fall that wasn't interrupted by an early snow (know you've had flurries - but by this time last year both MA and WV had been blanketed in white - shortening the blanket of color). These are gorgeous examples of the amazing season mother nature has given us this year. So grateful!

Your fall colours are truly magnificent. We have nothing like it here in Australia as our trees are "ever-green". One day I hope to see "fall".
Have a wonderful week. I am joining you at Communal Global.

We have fall weather, but not the fall colors the way you have them. The colors are just absolutely beautiful. I guess there is much to love about every season, but by far, my favorite is fall.

GREAT photos! I really love all the seasons, too. I miss living in a place with a distinct winter, but just a short drive and we can be in snow any day of the week.
