Song-osity: Beautiful Morning

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day...

I've got a wonderful feeling, everything's going my way...

Avi and I had a great day together last Sunday before she went back to Oregon. We soaked up the sun (finally!) and walked to the MFA and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

You can now take pictures in the courtyard of the Gardner! I was so thrilled to finally photograph the stunning space, I can only imagine living there. We strolled the halls of the museum taking in the art and then sat down to lunch at the amazing Gardner cafe.

Seriously, best meal in a long time. I had the salmon over fiddle head ferns and fingerling potatoes and Avi had the hake with ramps and parsnips. Paired with a rose. Heaven. The space - totally made of windows with tons of natural light - was the icing on the perfect sister weekend.

After a long, cold winter a day walking in the sunlight and some art and good food, did my soul (and vitamin D count) good. I am so ready for spring and dare I say it...summer, now!

And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Love that first shot in and of itself - fun and beautiful day. Oh, and just the mention of ramps has me cringing (it is a big thing in certain parts of WV and whew, what an odor) - but your meal looks delicious.

Love the displays in the atrium...I couldn't figure out at first if someone was jumping off the building!

This place just slays me. It's like entering a dream! My mom had the same dish you did - she loved it!! We didn't venture into the new wing - she can only handle so much walking. I often think I'm meant to go to museums alone....I could literally spend hours just in the hallway that contains all the letters she saved!!

I am so glad you could spend time with your sister! I love that.

I also love your salmon. I could eat that every night for dinner. My kids hate it though, so I never buy it. Frown.

I hope you are having a great end of the year with your little munchkins. I know you are incredibly busy! This time of year is CRAY CRAY!
