Flying High - RI Air Show

More air show shots. There were some great formation teams this year and demonstrations. We arrived just in time to see the Breitling Jet Team from France perform.
Later, the Canadian Air Force Snowbirds put on a pretty amazing show and their planes looked wicked cool against the sky.
The F-16 and CF-18 were insanely impressive, too. I love capturing the fire in the jet! It's also crazy to realize, that while we saw all these planes in an artistic and fun way today, these planes are the pride of our armed forces.

Another fun day at the air show! The weather was perfect, sunny, breezy, perfect temperature, and this year we remembered sun screen and are nice and tan, but not burnt!

I understand about being happy not to burn. Our swim meet this week had an overcast sky and I was so happy as there is no shade at this place and I did not burn.

Wow...these are really great, Tamar. As a child, I loved when the Blue Angels visited. Makes me want to see it all again!

These shots are GREAT! I love the red planes - and the ones that look like they're laying on top of each other! {sorry I've been MIA - taking a bit of a breather...will be back to usual next week!}

hi Tamar!

Thanks for the recent comment. It must be a slow day in blog-land or people aren't trusting me that I am here to stay this time. lol

What a great set of images! We had an air show here at Kessler Air Force Base a few months back. I can't remember what we were doing but we missed it. I remember seeing the planes practicing in the week or so leading up, and thinking, I need to go shoot that when it's time. Then, of course, I completely forgot!

I'd love to have you join us for Photo Friday - a weekly link-up for photography posts ;) http://www.piercedwonderings.com/photo-friday-blessing-of-the-fleet/
