When September Ends

Summer has come and passed....
 Wake me up when September ends...

{Wake Me Up When September Ends -- Green Day}

Where did September go? The start of the school year. The marathon of the Jewish holidays. Blink. September is wrapping up.

Fall has been late to make its debut in New England. I have been impatient.

I'm ready for crisp mornings. Stunning foliage. Jackets. Earlier sunsets. Pumpkin everything.

As September ends, the signs are creeping in. Brisker air. A hint of color here and there. Mums in the beds. Pumpkin flavored everything, everywhere.

Welcome fall and farewell September.
And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Lovin' that depth of field in the first shot. Well, great minds certainly think alike when it comes to song selection...sorry I pulled the rug out from under you on next week's suggestion. Lots of September to reflect upon tho! haha. Thanks for sharing at Song-ography.

Wow. These photos are just beautiful - and capture this time of year perfectly! I fear that our burst of color is going to come quickly and not last super long...but I'm so ready!

We've had shades of Autumn and with this week's dip in temperature, will probably see even more - but strangely as this sounds, I am not in a hurry for it because I know what comes next. As for the pumpkin everything - I swear as soon as the clock struck September everything started coming up pumpkins - so much so I remarked to my husband at the grocery store the other day that I would not be surprised to round the corner to find pumpkin toilet paper. I like pumpkin - but holy Pumpkin Batman.

When I lived there, I was disappointed if autumn came early as it meant bare trees for longer. We shall see what happens here this year. Last fall we did actually get some color late Nov/early December which was more than had been here in previous years. This autumn we also have been having lots of cloudy days so far so maybe we will get some color this year too, Have to wait and see.

Lovely set of images. I can't believe September is on the way out already. It seems strange, you talking of Autumn and looking forward to the cool. We are well and truly in Spring and I am so not looking forward to the Summer. We've been lucky so far though with fairly mild weather and still some cool, refreshing mornings. Enjoy watching Autumn take over.
