They recommend keeping their donuts in the freezer so I popped them in there and took them out Sunday morning for a tasty breakfast. To be enjoyed, they simply need to be reheated in the microwave for about 30 seconds. They both smelled amazing, too!
I could instantly tell the soft donuts were indeed, soft. I grew up with glutenous soft donuts ala Dunkin' and miss them terribly. I've enjoyed the Kinnikinnick cake donuts before and have loved them, so getting to try a seasonable pumpkin spice one had me excited, too.
A nice feature of the soft vanilla donuts is the vanilla icing packs. Usually you get one big pack for all the donuts, this has individual icing packs, perfect for each donut.
Reheated and iced, it was time to dig in! The soft donuts instantly brought me back to my childhood. I could not believe it was gluten, dairy, or egg free! Perfect texture, perfect taste, just wow! The pumpkin spice was so ooey and gooey with the glaze. I seriously enjoyed this one too, but the soft donuts just won me over, thank you childhood nostaglia.
Thank you Kinnikinnick for once again creating excellent gluten free foods, it made my Sunday breakfast delicious and I can't wait to enjoy the rest of the packs.
But! That's not all. Kinnikinnick has an amazing offer for you all! 5 people. My mouth is watering for real. Never read food posts before breakfast, Bekah. Never read food posts before breakfast. Those do look amazing!
I'm not a big donut fan...but these do look yummy!
Ummm...yes please!
Did you know donuts are another specialty of PDX? OF course there is the famous VooDoo donuts (which I've never been to), but there are several specialty donut shops around the city. We've found our favorite, but it's fun to try others looking for a new favorite.
Very cool- loving that glaze!
Mmmm....donuts!!!!
My favorite kind of donut? Anything that's not chocolate!
My favorite donut is ANY gluten free donut!
Oh these look sooo good! The pumpkin spice one really sounds delish!
It is amazing how far the food industry has come in creating tasty gluten free yummy foods. I am sure you were more than excited to taste those heavenly doughnuts, bringing back those remembered "dunkin" times.
Those do look delicious. Pumpkin spice, cinnamon, chocolate-what can possibly go wrong with all those wonderful flavors?
Oh, yum! Glad there are doughnuts out there for you to eat!
Looks good but I am allergic to yeast as well as wheat. Oh well, I'm supposed to avoid sweets anyway.
