Farmer's Market

I am a huge fan of farmer's markets! They make summer so fresh and fun.
Brookline has a great, small market weekly during the summer months and I try to make a point to get over there and buy some local produce! It's fun to talk to the farmers and try veggies I can't easily buy in the shops!

Beautiful food pictures! I love farmers markets too, and we have so many of them around here (Lancaster County, PA). I have developed a relationship with a farmer and his wife over the years, and now we are on a first name basis. We even keep in touch over the winter!

All these lovely pictures make me even more eager for the harvest that I know is on its way from my hard-working garden patch!

I went to the Farmer's Market a few weeks back hoping to take some photos but then I felt weird about it! Did you ask the vendors if you could take pictures? Or is it big enough that no one really cares?

These are some beautiful shots. I haven't been to a farmer's market all summer! I need to go!

I love farmer's markets. This is our first summer in Oklahoma. I'm hoping to find a good one now that our move is complete, I should have time to look for one.

What a great representation of your market! I remember the very first one I ever went to. It felt like some kind of rite of passage. I loved it!

I love all your photos - I just love walking through the vegetable stands and seeing the bounty and the beautiful displays! We play at the market in Hood River and each vendor donates something to the musicians. It's so fun to go through our donation box at the end and see what we got!

Totally agree about Farmer's markets!! Whatever those greens are in the first picture, I think I bought some of the same thing Saturday! They told me of courrse what it was and how to cook it, but I totally forgot the name as soon as I walked past that stand (must take notes!!!).

Farmers markets are great places and perfect for photos. Loved all these but for some reason that first one just caught my eye.
