Northeastern Science Center

Over the winter, I heard about the new science and engineering center at Northeastern U. Pictures revealed a modern and sleek building, perfect for photographing.
When a 52Frames Challenge called for a "looking down" shot, I knew the funky spiral staircase at the center was perfect so an exploring I went.
NE outdid themselves! My jaw hung open when I walked in.
Light. Airy.
Modern yet timeless.
The labs are open to the atrium, with glass walls allowing glimpses into the work and learning.
The big spiral staircase travels six floors up.
The colors complement the white, glass, and wood.
A true hidden gem in the Boston academic community!

Tamar, these photos are amazing and quite jaw-dropping! But I have to tell you that as cool as huge spiral staircases are, they kind of freak me out! And I experienced a tiny bit of vertigo just by looking at some of these photos! Isn't that weird? I am terrified of heights, especially when looking down from a high staircase like that...so I scrolled really quickly! Haha. But really, these are very awesome pictures of some fantastic architecture. Thanks for sharing!

I wondered where you were when you took that picture! (I remember seeing it on FB or IG or something.) I'm with Shelbee...I'd be far too dizzy to take it, but it is stunning!

Love the staircase shot from underneath. It's a great spiral shape, looks like a shell.

My jaw would drop too! Beautiful! I have never been to the Northeaster Campus. Maybe, I should check it out this summer when I come to Boston. Thanks for sharing!
