Rhododendron Garden

I want to wake up in the morning
Where the rhododendrons grow...
Where the fragrant breezes blow
Where the rhododendrons grow...

{The Rhododendron Song -- Unknown}

Portland has a lovely park space near Reed College filled with rhododendron plants galore. There are ponds filled with ducks and geese and waterfalls flowing through the hills.

We've been several times over the years and it's such a welcome sign of spring - pretty colors and blooms, baby ducks, and a warm feeling in the air!

...The Rhododendron Song is such a funky little tune, I live it.

Beautiful!! I went out to talk to our flowers this morning and beg them not to die since, you know, it feels like winter again. :( (Although it's not snowing, so we're ahead of Colorado!)
