Fenway Park Tour

As we walk to Fenway Park in Boston town
to that baseball park between the streets
of Jersey and Landsdown...
we walk
to Fenway Park
in Boston Town...

{As We Walk to Fenway -- Jonathan Richman}

Each week at camp, we take a sports-related field trip. Week 2 we took the T to Fenway Park for a private stadium tour! I think this was my 5th or 6th Fenway tour and I learn and see something new each time!

I just love this stadium. America's oldest ballpark. The oldest seats in baseball (who needs cupholders), the Ted Williams' red seat, the Green Monster, Pesky Pole, and the curse of the Bambino.

The Red Sox are sadly not having the season they did last year, which our tour guide joked about (we keep it real up here). But, we threw it back to last October as we ate lunch outside after the tour. Two group sales executives came out to meet us. They heard a Jewish camp was visiting and had these leftover hats from Jewish Heritage Night (it was 40 and pouring rain bc Boston and the crowd was super small). They gave us all free hats!! They say "champion" in Hebrew and the kids (and counselors) were so touched by this sweet gesture!

A super awesome day and we all made it there and back on the T, huzzah!

That was so nice and special about the caps! We heard a tour starting when we were walking over there to buy our tickets. I loved the stadium, the tour sounds like something we'd all enjoy too! I could hear the guy joking at the start of the tour about the first stop being the historic Fenway bathrooms (or something like that!)

Such a beautiful place. I would love to see the inside of it. So jealous that you live there. Thanks for sharing it. Thanks for hosting and have a great rest of the week.

I have never been to Fenway, but have run close to it in the marathon! That is going to change this year when my hubby, me, and 4 friends are staying in Boston to see a Red Sox/Phillies game. Can't wait!
