The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 31

The Good:
I am officially a NYer again after a 10-year hiatus (although I did have my NY license for my first 2 years in Boston...). I have to say, the pandemic may be the best thing to happen to the NY DMV. I had an appointment, waited a little bit past my scheduled time but was then in and out no problem! We'll see how bad the picture is when it arrives in a few weeks...

The Random:
I went back to Maimo one last time before moving to say a few last goodbyes and this caught my eye on a table. Basically the game for 2020?

The Fun:
My car hit 20,000 miles this week - naturally, I didn't notice until I parked. I pulled off the lot in January 2017 with 14 miles on the odometer, we've done a LOT of driving since then!!

Oh I will miss thinking about you being close by. I always love when a blogger lives sort of nearby. Good luck with your new adventures!

OMG, that game, Tamar! So perfect for 2020! I have lived in NY for 7 years and only just switched from my Pennsylvania license last May. And the DMV was a nightmare (and I even live in very rural NYS). I guess that is when I finally became an official New Yorker! Haha. My husband still has a PA license though. I wish you so much success in your new adventure! I did miss where in NY you have moved though? Are you in NYC or somewhere else?

My husband and I were just talking about the DMV (here in CT) should keep up with by appointment only hours as they seem to handle that so much better than how they used to run!

There are some positives to the pandemic--like the DMV now! Congratulations on your move and your new job! Boston will miss you for sure!

I love New York! My hometown. I'm sure it's very exciting to be back in the Big Apple!

I had to get my license renewed a few weeks ago, and I agree, the line was nothing. I was in and out in half an hour. Also, that game - HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

That's hilarious! Def the game for 2020....and it appears it's a game that goes for far too long without many winners....ahhhhhh

Nice game. DMV in California is such a joke. I did the license renewal by mail and it took three months for me to get the renew. Every DMV here is packed and you mostly likely will have to wait an hour or so after your appointment time.

Best wishes on your new home. The DMV in Virginia has been mostly closed except for online and people have been upset.

Calif DMV is the worst and even more so with the pandemic. I wouldn't care so much if I didn't have a kid trying to get his license right not. The system is so messed up. Glad your experience was painless and quick. Best wishes in New York. Too funny about that game!
