The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 42

The Good:
I got my car registered in NY and the MA plates are officially off the car. It felt weird to have that last MA piece taken off. But! I don't have to mail them back so they'll be finding a place in my apartment to remember all the adventures we had together.

The Random:
Anyone want to explain why croci are popping up in October...?

The Fun:
I finally got a new glasses prescription and some new glasses. Fun to see everything much clearer and get some new frames almost 3 years since my last set.

I've learnt something. I never knew you got new plates if you moved to a new state!

Those are saffron flowers, not crocus flowers. The stamens are saffron threads!

Autumn crocus perhaps? Saffron? It has been a rather warm Autumn though. Our Delphinium bloomed again at the beginning of the month and it normally blooms in the spring. A few months ago I got new glasses after three years as well. I miss knowing that you are in Boston and recognizing the places you featured in your posts.

You were quick with changing all your car stuff! It took me 5 years in NY before I changed everything! Haha. But I guess I have more flexibility being military...we don't have to change our car and license stuff with every move as long as we have a permanent address in our home state to use. But once we decided we were staying in NY indefinitely, I finally got my NY license (my husband has not changed his license yet!). In any event, I am glad that you can keep your MA license plate as a souvenir! And your new glasses are super cute! I am scheduled in a few weeks and I cannot wait because it has been a few years for me as well and I can't see properly out of my current prescription! Have a great week, My friend!

I love your new glasses! That is fast about your new license plates, I'm glad you're keeping the old ones as mementos. That is super strange about the croci!

I just got new glasses too! I made hooks out of my old license plates. They are on Zachary's wall!

I hope you also registered to vote in NY! I remember we were able to do that at the MV department when we got our new license plates here in Colorado. I already voted by mail.

Has it been unusually warm there for crocuses to grow?

Your new glasses are really nice--enjoy!

I didn't realize you didn't have to turn in plates if you moved out of state (though it makes perfect sense!). Never having moved more than 10 minutes from where I was born I don't know much about moving across state lines. Good for you for getting it all done though.

You seem very organised! New plates and new glasses!

Yikes! The crocus are confused! Yay for new glasses and a new license plate.

Nice new glasses and I learned something new about license plates.

That's great you get to keep the car plates as a memento and love your new glasses. Not sure why those flowers are popping up in Oct but the sure look pretty among the brown fallen leaves.

We have our old licence plates. We should really do something fun with them -- like hang them in the basement or something.
