First Snow

Over Chanukah, we had our first winter storm of the year. Over a foot of snow fell around the area, more than all of last year's snow totals! It began to come down in the late evening and continued through lunchtime; waking up to the blanket of snow was magical. WDS had a full snow day and it was glorious to be able to enjoy it and not be a Zoom-admin all day!
I found my snow pants and boots and went out for a walk in the winter wonderland. I live next to a park and it was like a scene from a movie. Snow-covered paths, trees covered in the fresh fluff, kids sledding, and even more seasonal decorations under the flakes.

I am hoping for a really snowy winter this year. We barely had any snow last year and the world needs some snowy magic right now!

It looks amazing! Not that I like snow, but you make it look nice. It's actually snowing and freezing rain out here today.

Beautiful. We had snow the week of Hanukkah but by Christmas it was almost all gone. I am hoping for a snowy winter as well. Maybe not as much as we had in 14/15 though...

I need to get better about getting out and enjoying the snow instead of just getting out to deal with it (read:shoveling) all the time. Your pictures are gorgeous.
