The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 8

The Good:
Soup season is going strong with some fish chowder for these snowy nights.

The Random:
There is a book exchange shelf in the basement of my building. If you are looking or a light read, try the can of sauce...?

The Fun:
We have the best security guys at school. I am at the gate once or twice a week with them and they're so fun to talk to and get to know!

Your fish chowder looks yummy! Are you going to share the recipe?

Honest question: Why do you have security guards at the gate to your school? Is this an American thing? We don't have security guards at schools in Canada and parents would be freaked out to see them there.

Mmmm... fish chowdah!
And I love reading cans--and cereal boxes.

I've never been a soup person, but lately my husband and I have enjoyed hot potato soup on these cold nights.

Thank You!

I have heard that spaghetti sauce makes for good reading material, lol. When we lived in Jersey we got a chance to talk to our guards, but in CT it's all business, you drop your kid off and keep moving!

What are there security guys there for? Or is it an after hours thing? We only just got lockable fences a few years ago....

I like how in the last picture we can see smiling faces in spite of the masks.

There's nothing like a good soup on a cold day. Love that you are making friend with the security people and that they are a fun crew.
