Mom and I braved some near-arctic temps to go to the Botanical Gardens. We had never really wandered around in the dead of winter and it was a beautiful and peaceful adventure (and super COVID safe because it was empty!). We got a quick view of the train show as we walked through the conservatory which was a fun bonus too.
The forest was super pretty mid-winter. We even stumbled across a fire extinguisher, random! The Bronx River was getting icy but the falls were moving along. Sometimes a nice, quiet walk in frigid nature is needed!

We have fond memories of the train show!
Still in lockdown here so nothing is open. The conservatory looks beautiful.
Beautiful shots and location!
It's so interesting to visit places that flourish in warmer weather in the middle of winter. It's a different kind of beauty!
That building is beautiful and the train show sounds neat.

That looks like such a gorgeous place to spend some time in winter. We've only been once, and in summer, but I'd love to go back in other seasons.
