Illuminated Dominoes

A new interactive public art installation in the Financial District is bringing color and sound into New York City’s dreary winter. Created by Montreal-based design studio Ingrid Ingrid, “Domino Effect” features 120 giant dominos scattered across 12 tables in Fosun Plaza. As they crash into each other, each domino giving off a unique sound and color.
I love interactive pieces like this! It was so fun to watch kids and adults alike playing with the art and enjoying the glow and sounds. Art pieces like this really add so much to the city, especially in the dreary drab winter!
