The Good:

I finally checked out the new fancy grocery in Sleepy Hollow. Love how they leaned into the town vibe!

(Yes...my good is a grocery store...it was -20 windchills most of the week, I am grasping at straws here people!) 

The Random:

I did a really good double-take when I saw the massive OU (kosher symbol) next to the words "bacon" and "pork" - it's a vegan alternative! Yes I bought the "pulled pork" - I'll report back!

The Fun:

I spent the weekend glued to the tv watching the Olympics! Does anyone else get misty-eyed when they play the national anthem?

On Turning 38

I turned 38 over the weekend! Got to love a January birthday, where your age is easily above the high temp of the day (which was 5). We had a fun day in the city at a museum, some galleries, and Chelsea Market, before heading up to our favorite Indian restaurant in midtown. 

It was a day filled with loads of birthday greetings, delicious treats -- cupcakes the night before and halva soft serve while in the city -- and lots of great fun together!

Here's to another year around the sun!

The Good:

We were in Brooklyn on Saturday night and found a fully gluten-free Italian restaurant. The pizza (with vegan cheese!) was so good! Judah got a pie too and was so impressed by the taste.

The Random:

I got a chuckle out of these mannequins; they just look like the sketches you do in art class!

The Fun:

We went out to eat on NYE and had a fun time - even with the large vent fan in our way (:

The world's biggest menorah is in NYC by the Plaza hotel. Always great to see Jewish joy out and about!

The Random:

The police horses are wearing Santa hats! I can't handle the cuteness!

The Fun:

I came downstairs one day this past week and the light from outside had our electric menorah making a "bat signal" like shadow on the ceiling!

The Good:

We had our first snow! It was just an afternoon of flurry squalls but it made my winter heart so so happy. 

The Random:

I needed to squirt some lemon juice on our salmon the other night and could only find....a (new!) medical syringe!

The Fun:

We had a fun axe-throwing day date yesterday! We both got pretty good by the end of our session, too.
