Song-ography: Miles

[I'm] moving on...
[I'm] on my way, everyday is a new day...

It's been a long week. Long three weeks really. By the middle of the week, I was beginning to accept the news we were given last week. Life began to go, or continued to go on.

Job applications are being filed.  Students are still being taught. Life is still being lived.

There are hard moments, there are moments where all I can do is laugh at the situation or laugh something a kid says, and there are moments where I still think it's a horrible dream.

But, I am moving on. A friend keeps reminding me that the sadness will linger, I'm losing a very important part of my life, but there are new windows and doors opening.

I will find my way once again.

My life's journey hasn't been a straight line, by any stretch of the imagination. But, each of the miles I've logged so far in this journey we call life have made me who I am today.

So as I take another turn, I wonder were this stretch of road will take me, and how many miles I will log on this part of the journey.

Times get tough - at times. But you put it perfectly, Tamar, 'every closed door, opens a new one'. While I completely understand you're being said, you should also be happy about the unknown, surprise, opportunity that is waiting for you.
Keep up the spirit and good things will come!

One thing I have learned is that although we may not see it ourselves at the time & things may feel disappointing- it's all in the master plan. He knows what He's doing & the next move is usually something that we never expected but ends up being so much better than what we ever dreamed or could have imagined before hand. Love & hugs my friend!

This is the right perspective! Grieving is okay. Your life will have so many starts and stops that shape who you are and who you are becoming. I'm excited for this next phase for you, even if it feels scary right now.

Wonderful image and inspiring words. Getting weighed down with the sadness is easy, keeping an open mind and heart to the new possibilities takes a little more effort - but is so much more rewarding.

Best wishes on your next chapter.

How less interesting would life be if it was travelled via a straight path. It's the twists and turns that keep us on our toes, make us stronger, make us more accepting of challenges. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography. And for what it's worth...I KNOW you are going to come out of this A-OK.

I missed that sad news. I'm sorry to hear that the school is closing. As sad as it is, it really is a time of excitement to think there are so many new possibilities down the road.
