Song-ography: Sailing

Like a boat....
Sailing on the sea...

There have been a fair share of boat metaphors floating around the past few weeks.

1 month ago we hit the iceberg.

2 weeks ago the ship sank.

I've felt like I've been drifting since then. Clinging to the wreckage, looking for a life raft.

This past week I feel as though I found my life raft. I've smiled more this past week than all month. I'm finding my new even keel.

In the next few weeks, I am hoping I find a new ship to climb aboard.

I'm confident it will happen.

But for now, I am floating along, in the ocean of life.

Life is a vast ocean, where will the voyage take me....

Oh, I made these boats for a church lesson once. The waxed one floated while the non-wax one sank. Loads of metaphors to be found in that small lesson.

You have been experiencing this song :) I do hope you find a wonderful new "ship" to explore. You have so much to give -- I'm sure your talents will be welcome wherever you do go for your next season.

when I was younger --- oh, say around your age --- through the drudgery of packing and moving for each new school/job/apartment/house, I would remind myself that while the process of moving sucked - I was confident it would lead me to a better place ... and it always did.

Without doubt you will find a port in this storm and as great as what your 'normal' has been, believe it or not, your future will be even more so.

Just like Ecclesiastes says, "There is a time for everything." I think it is only right to grieve for a while and then to persevere! Glad you are finding joy again.
