There is something about cold weekend mornings that make you want to whip something warm and tasty up in the kitchen.
A few weekends ago, instead of pancakes, I whipped up some baked oatmeal. A perfect way to enjoy the fresh apple sauce bubbling on the stove and an excuse to turn on the oven too!
This was so simple, yet filling, and really delicious. A perfect weekend breakfast on a chilly winter's morning. Served fresh from the oven with some fresh apple sauce, but could easily be topped with syrup or fresh fruit, quite versatile.Just bake and enjoy.

Very unusual treat. I'm fixing waffles this morning...warm and sweet.
Peanut butter POWDER?
I don't think I have ever heard of peanut butter powder and can't say I've ever had peanut butter and oatmeal blended together. I imagine it is quite good though. Lovely images!
The peanut butter powder is new to me too. I need to check that out. Oh, if only my over were not broken!
Delicious, very rich!
I wonder if my kids would eat this???

Happy Weekend to you
I don't eat "oatmeal" as a breakfast cereal because I hate the mushy texture but I'm thinking in bars baked like this it might be quite tasty.
Look how easy this is. Great for the holidays.
Other than oatmeal cookies, I don't know that I have ever baked oatmeal (except for a crumble topping)- boy does this look good and just right for these cold mornings.
Sounds delicious and thanks so much for sharing the recipe. It does sound like the perfect breakfast for a cold morning!!
These look delicious and would make a nice change for breakfast. This is the first time I have heard of peanut butter powder. Thank you for sharing!
Yum! Sounds so nutritious! I know my lot would devour these.
I need to be like you! I really have to make the kids some delicious breakfast food.
Thanks again for sharing Tamar, pinned and featured this week at Creative Mondays...
