Song-osity: Snow for days

I can see clearly now the [snow has stopped falling]...
It's going to be a bright, bright sun-shiney day!

Ok, so the snow hasn't gone anywhere (we've actually got another 2 feet yesterday...) and it isn't going anywhere for a long time. Quite frankly, we've run out of places to put it. The small yard at my building is overflowing, literally, with snow!

But there is a true beauty in the sun reemerging after a storm. The way the sun hits the flakes. It's blindingly beautiful.

I guess all this white really will make us appreciate the colors of spring, when they finally emerge!

Truth be told, even me, the snow lover is growing weary. In 17 days Boston has received 77.5 inches of snow. That is a new record for snowiest period of time. It's on track to be the snowiest February, and (I hate to type this), if we get around 2.5 more feet, we'll beat all the snow fall records for the city.

Anyone want a box of snow?

And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Stunning pictures. My goodness that is a lot of snow, and we complain here if he get a couple of inches.

That snow is really beautiful for us to see on your blog, but I don't think I want to be anywhere near that much of the white stuff on a daily basis! Keep warm,Tamar.

I'll take a box, except it would be water by time it arrived. Don't need anymore water here. I love your images though. They beg for a good long play in the snow.

England would truly grind to halt with half that amount. I have never seen snow like that in my life... I would love to see it just once

I LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!! The glitter!! I know this is politically incorrect - but I'm loving this! I know it's making life difficult for so many...and I don't wish that on people for sure. But there's something about nature slowing us all down that makes me happy. That and the freshly fallen stuff is so pretty!

THAT is alot of SNOW!! Where in the world do they put it all?? Here I think they truck it down to Lake Michigan and deposit it in the lake. You must have piles so high it must be difficult to navigate.

Beautiful snow pics.

That is a lot of freakin snow.. I'll take a box of that snow if it would help. I don't even think a truck load would help. LOL.. Great photos my friend.

Hugs~

And we have a shortage of snow here in in the mountains...I really do wish you could bring some here when you come and drop it on Mt. Hood. Our lack of it will affect us this summer....

Yea, I got no where last evening trying to talk Allyson down from her 'I'm.so.over.this.freakin'.stuff' rant by attempting to point out that she is in MA - where it snows. a lot. yearly. She was having nothing of it.

Hang in there - after the floods from the melted snow, you all should be good. This would be a good time to have cross-country skis.

Hold the train....did you really just write 77.5 inches! Holy cow batman...

Your pictures are amazing, those sparkles...and I have to admit, this non-snow loving girl kinda wants to jump in it!! ;)

Believe me, I would love a box of snow! It's beautiful! But I can say that in sunny San Diego. I'm sure you've had enough already. It really is pristine and lovely, though!

My kids would definitely want a box!! I am sure the magic fades after a while, but the snow sure is pretty! :)

I absolutely love your pictures!! We saw the snow here last week, but just for one afternoon and it's already melted... And I'm a little bit disappointed... Send a box of snow here please!!

Sigh...the DOF on these shots is perfection. Gives the snow such an ethereal and dreamlike quality. Boy, you have been hammered this winter! But I'm glad you are putting the abundance to good photographic use :). Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.

I love your "snow" photos! Personally, here in New Hampshire, I'm getting a little tired of the white stuff! So today, I will go out and enjoy some of the sunshine before the next storm arrives. Happy Wednesday!

You are so right that it is beautiful. I am sure you are all growing weary of it though. We finally got snow one day last week. The sun melted it to memory the next day. There must be a happy medium somewhere!

Oh, you really got enough! Sunshine on snow is beautiful, but I am longing to Spring now...

That is a ton of snow. I don't think I want a box of it though.

I have only seen snow once, so I can't even imagine this depth of snow and snow that keeps falling! One day I hope I might experience it. I hope the sun shines brightly for you this weekend.

Claudia W | ImagesByCW said... {Reply}

No, no, no! Please do not box and send any snow to me. We have got enough or rather too much the way it is right now in NJ. And now we got to bundle up for the freezing weekend storm - bbrrrrhh

I'm assuming that record might fall this weekend. Hope you don't get completely snowed in your building.

Well, the snow sure is beautiful! I can't even remember the last time I saw snow in person. A decade ago? More?
