Friday, Friday...gettin' down on Friday...
This last week was a long week.
2 days of conferences - 40 kids x 20 minutes each = 2 very long days.
Pepper in the time spent preparing for the conferences and the fantastic time spent teaching - come Friday I was "stick a fork in me" done.
Friday at 2:15, one of my sweet kiddos piped up, "Ms. Benjamin, you ok? You look tired. Those conferences must have wiped you out. Who knew parents are harder than kids!" - so true!
This Friday night, shabbat was even more welcomed. A dinner with friends, relaxing, enjoying the start of a weekend and a chance to unwind and gear up for a new week.
Here's to another week!!
And! Come link up and join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

I sing that Friday song every week :p
Great post and pictures. I hope you're well rested now.
Glad you got to end the week on dinner with friends! xx
That song was always the 5:00PM whistle on Friday evenings on the radio, while growing up. Glad your conferences are over. Those are exhausting, but certainly beneficial.
I'm with you , Tamar...just a bit of a respite on the weekend gets me energized for a new week. Cute that your student could see you were tired.
Strange but so true, give me a room full of children over a room full of adults sometimes, seriously! You know which room will be perfect! Very nice how that child picked up on your mood, extra points in paying attention! I plan on joining in on this next Monday.
An interesting week with a lot of work!
Parents are way more difficult than the kids. Glad you're done with conferences.
I would think parents are WAY more difficult!! You made it through! :)
You work so hard and with such dedication - your kids (and their parents) are so lucky to have you! It's always nice to hit Friday night and take that deep breath...especially after weeks like yours was last week!
Boy, do I feel ya! My favorite line from Downton Abbey is when the dowager in all her wealth says seriously, "What's a week-end?" I know the parents as well as the kids appreciate all you pour into these youngsters day after day.
I can totally understand how parent-teacher conferences can be exhausting. Wow, yours are long at 20 minutes. Ours last only 15 minutes.
Gosh parent teacher meetings, havent' been to one of those in eons, mind you my 2 are at the end of their high school years and the oldest left school 2 years ago. hope you get a good rest this weekend.
I am always wiped out on Fridays after co op. I can only imagine how tired you must be. Wonderful insight from one of the kids :)
I'm a nurse so I work even during weekends, but I know what you mean when you talk about long endless day!
I love Fridays! :D
Gotta love a Friday!
Hurrah for Friday's!

TGIF right?!?!?!? Sorry I'm so late in posting for Song-ography, life gets in the way sometimes :). Thanks again for joining in!
Happy Weekend! Great Perspective! Hope some nicer weather is on it's way!
