Dockyards

We're the kind of vacation people who love a balance of touring and lounging.
We'd briefly been in the Royal Dockyards 2 years ago and wanted to explore more.
A former military post is now a bustling port.
Cruise ships dock, ferries come and go and in the fort a museum all about Bermuda's history.
The museum shared the fascinating history of the island - from the original settlers to the role the island played in WW2.
Sweeping views of the ocean and a history lesson, not bad for a morning!

I agree, lounging and exploring are a perfect mix. Even better with a pool to lounge by.

Glad you are having a lovely holiday. Your photos look strangely like Acre actually. Love the British phone boxes, though where I come from the boxes are cream - the only non-red ones in the UK.

All that and some adorable red phone booths! I hope those never disappear, even though everyone must be using cell phones.

We like a mix of exploring and lounging, too. I have never been to Bermuda before. What a great late-summer destination before school starts!
