8 Crazy Nights

Light one candle for the Maccabee children
With thanks that their light didn't die...

And light one candle to find us together
With peace as the song in our hearts
Don't let the light go out!
It's lasted for so many years!
Don't let the light go out!
Let it shine through our hope and our tears...

{Light One Candle -- Peter, Paul, and Mary}

Another Chanukah has come and gone.
8 nights of lights.
8 nights of collective memory.
There is something so special about these 8 crazy nights.
This year, of all years, these lights mean so much.
Darkness will not prevail.
Haneirot hallalu. These lights we light.
Until next year!

We were just on a cruise and they celebrated Hanukkah. My girls loved it. One little boy passed out little bags of candy with stickers and dreidels. Would love to be invited sometime to see a family's holiday dinner. I find it so interesting how others celebrate the season. Wishing you a wonderful and amazing 2020! What's are you most looking forward to this year?

I love this tradition of the candles. We need all the lights we can to brighten the darkness engulfing the world. Wishing you blessings for 2020.
