Japanese Gardens

One of my favorite places in Portland is the Japanese Gardens in Washington Park. A tranquil paradise overlooking downtown I think I have been there on every visit. Last week, on a perfect PDX summer day I wandered around and took in the serenity.
Such a lush paradise. Some paths were closed due to COVID to avoid crowding, but all my favorite spaces were accessible and as beautiful as I remembered. It was fun to be there again after watching the Top Chef Portland episode they filmed there too - I kept thinking "I'm standing where Tom and Padma stood!"

Japanese gardens are so peaceful! They are simple, but that is the beauty of them.

What a beautiful place, Tamar! I have never been to a Japanese garden, but I bet it is so peaceful and tranquil there.
