One of my favorite places in Portland is the Japanese Gardens in Washington Park. A tranquil paradise overlooking downtown I think I have been there on every visit. Last week, on a perfect PDX summer day I wandered around and took in the serenity.

Japanese gardens are so peaceful! They are simple, but that is the beauty of them.
