34 weeks round the sun

What a week. I had a couple of job leads this week, all of which sadly turned into rejections. One was the job I really, really, really wanted and was the first rejection that really hurt me to the core. I keep getting told I am "a close second" and now I know how all the silver medalists in Michael Phelps' races feel... Besides dead ends on the job front I enjoyed some time on Harvard Yard, successfully captured light trails (come back Wed), took in another Red Sox game which cheered me up some, and overly organized my apartment. Good news, is after a rough week where I feel like I've hit bottom, I can only go up!

And the favorite of the month (how it is that time of the month again??):

Sorry you're feeling down hun =( I know how that is, I've been feeling down lately as well. Things will get better, and the job you DO get will be perfect and you'll love it.

THe convo between you and your mom is so sweet, and I love your photo of the month.

The job market is tough right now. I've applied for at least a dozen teaching jobs with no luck. Things will happen when they are suppose to. Thats what I keep telling myself anyway. Love the convo between you and your mom. Very sweet.

Love the light trails and the last shot! Lovely set all around.

I can relate to your job frustration. When I graduated...way back when...there were so many teacher applicants and few openings. I never even got an interview. I ended up doing long term subbing (like maternity leave) and then took a job as a para-professional for the second half of the year. I felt that gave me a better shot for the following year...except I ended up taking a teaching position overseas in Thailand at an international school! I loved those years! Wouldn't trade them for anything.

So, all that to say...hang in there! You never know what curve balls you might get that lead to some awesome adventures. I know it stinks meanwhile.

The light trails looks so fun! Enjoy your time -- eventually you'll be back to work. Boy, do I know the disappointment of a job you really, really want and don't get. Waiting is hard, but remember to fill your time with learning new things like light trails and soon you'll be in a new job adventure!
