A Rosh HaShanah tradition is to eat new or different fruits to celebrate a new year arriving. Usually we get a dragon fruit, which are tasty, but not something we eat every day. This year we tried two other fruits. Well, we can say we tried those two and that the dragon fruit was good!
The Random:
I went to the eye doctor this week, for the first time in ages (ever?) I didn't have a major change. One eye stayed the same and the other had a very minor adjustment. Then I got dilated, which when you have blonde retinas is not fun, at all! I joked with my doc that she dilates me for the wow factor she gets examining my eyes!
The Fun:
Jenny, Amanda, and I went to see "This is Where I Leave You" last weekend at the swanky new theater in town. And it is swanky! Big lounge style seats that recline, waiters that bring you a full menu, and just a gorgeous lobby. That coupled with the great movie made for a relaxing Sunday!

Cool fruit...but I really love that theatre. Ours are all stadium seating around here.
Great shot of the various fruits. There is a fruit called "ugly fruit" too. Have you tried that one?
Had to Google Blond retina. Bummer.
I wonder if I have that, too? Every photo of me in the sun since babyhood, I'm squinting. Hummm...
The theater really caught my eye...but then I am a movie monster...smile.
Nice pictures, colors, and clean and bright lights!
Yum, dragon fruit! That's a treat. That theater looks very posh and like a nice way to enjoy a show.
Happy belated new year...I've been away and catching up. Thanks for the reminder, I need to make an eye appointment too.
blonde retinas is a new one to me - interesting. The theater sounds swanky alright - unless of course the waiters are coming and going throughout the movie, then it would just be distracting.
Thanks for running a GRF this week. :)
Too funny about the new fruits. It's great that you try different things like that. I wouldn't even know where to buy those but I do wan to try dragon fruit someday.
