Assembly Row

Somerville is a town right across the river from Boston - it's becoming quite the trendy region and last year, along the Mystic River they built up a run square filled with shops. Usually I pop in just to get some deals at the outlets, but last weekend I took advantage of the stunning weather and strolled around taking in all that the area has to offer.
I had no clue there were fun sculptures at one end of the promenade and loved the variety of them! I even was able to peruse the Sunday farmer's market. I just love local vendors and their wares.
Even the cafes and restaurants have funky decor and just fit in, in the square. I just love well thought out spaces.
To end a great morning, I decided to treat myself to a peach. After helping me find the best ripe peach in the crate the vendor gave it to me for free - it made it taste that much sweeter! Thanks for a fun Sunday AM Assembly Row!

First of all, yay for free stuff!! Secondly, I love a farmer's market. I haven't been to TOO many in my day, but there is just something about them that delights my heart!

Fun! I'm so looking forward to our local farmer's market this fall. It was such a hot/humid summer, we didn't go one time.

I have a few friends who grew up in Somerville. They are Portuguese and their dad used to grow grapes and make his own wine. I haven't spent much time there but it looks like it's really come up in the world. Great shots.

A really interesting place to visit. On my next return to that part of the country, I'll have to make it to Somerville.
