The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 7

The Good:
The snow day on Monday made me bake...Some pumpkin cookies, a season late.

The Random:
You may have heard...it was a little cold this weekend in Boston. It actually was -9 when I first got up, but then the windchill got more impressive! More "how is that possible" than random, but the cold hearted jokes on Valentines Day = priceless. And really Weather.com, flowers?

The Fun:
A bunch of us played a game of cards in the staff room during our lunch on Thursday! We decided it has to be our weekly thing now!

I soooo used to love playing cards, my whole family did. I actually still do, but am missing a playing partner. Those pumpkin cookies look real good. I have now started kind of a weekly digest post myself together with Susi and Leslie, maybe you'd like to join in? :)

Great idea of playing cards...takes your mind off other things for a bit while you concentrate on the game.

I love pumpkin cookies, I don't think there is a season for them. That second tweet was super funny.

Yeah, I heard about the wind chill from our friends in Penn. Time to stay home with a good book and cookies:)

No No, it's Never too late for pumpkin cookies!! Any cookie! They look delish and I am super bummed that I cannot try them for 21 days thanks to a new fitness/diet plan I just started today.
Thankfully it is just as cold up here and so I am shivering enough to lose some calories. :)

It's never too late to make pumpkin anything! The cookies look delicious. Glad I'm not doing chores in those temperatures. I'm impressed you have time for cards at lunch. We barely have enough time to eat at my school.

Moving South sounds better and better every year --- I'm totally over winter and dang if it didn't feel like winter when we went to Florida last week (you know you're a wimp when you're at Disney shopping for Norwegian hats, mittens and coats). brrrr!

I love baking on cold days. LOL- cruel joke to put sun flowers on that weather screen. Love the card playing shot.

Do you even want to hear that it's in the mid 80s here? Actually, I wish we had a little more sweater / coat weather, but I'm not complaining!

Yum on those cookies. Hey with the weather you are having lately they are right in season.
Playing cards is a lot of fun. Freezing weather...not so much.
