The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 16

The Good:
I noticed this week, as I get to the gym at 5:20 that the sky is no longer pitch black! By the last day of school it's fully bright then, we're getting there...

The Random:
I have a thing for ketchup. I eat a lot of it. I brought veggie "meat" balls for lunch this week, which I dunk into the ketchup. I had no idea how much I wanted and the thought of not having enough was not acceptable. So I brought the bottle!

The Fun:
One of my math centers this week was using dominoes to practice multiplying. I had one kiddo was wouldn't settle down at the center. I compromised. I brought a pile of tiles down to the floor, sat with him, and let him build a domino wall with the ones he solved. After 8 minutes he had a nice chain to tip over!

Believe it or not, I don't like ketchup (or mayo)! I do however love just about every other condiment...bbq sauce, honey mustard, buffalo sauce, etc.

I had no idea of your ketchup addiction! But taking the whole bottle was a good idea. {I used to be able to tell how much time I had to pack lunch by looking to see if I made a sandwich or brought the loaf of bread, package of meat, bottle of condiments etc. LOL!!}

Your ketchup obsession, too cute. The sacrifices we make as teachers. That was a neat idea to use the dominoes. Great for probability, too.

I love that you can finally 'see' the days getting longer. Feels so good!
Getting to the him at 5:20 am?! Kudos to you.

Have you seen that shirt that says I eat ketchup with my ketchup? Maybe you should get it! :)

You are a good teacher, finding a way to settle down those antsy kids in class. My grandson gets bored quickly, and he has had some good teachers who get him focused on something other than crating mischief.

I like ketchup and there are many things that taste so much better with that condiment. Did you know there is a lot of sugar in ketchup, however? It is not a diet food.

I like the way you encouraged that student to do his math problems and enjoy them! That will be a trick I'll have to remember to use with my grandchildren.

Ketchup..............yea! Oh, and apple cider vinegar too. Two staples in my home. And, honey....lots of honey. I better quit, huh! Have a great week Tamar.

Honest to goodness Tamar, your creativity as a teach always impresses me!

I am really enjoying the longer days! Of course, I'm more fond of the light in the evenings when I'm home on the farm.

Yay for more morning light. Same here. I leave for work before 6am and now I don't have to leave in complete darkness. Great work on the math. You found a good solution. I can't really comment on the Ketchup--I hate the stuff. LOL!

Smart trick with the dominoes!

I am with you on the ketchup thing! :)

Haha, I know about how you feel about needing to have the whole bottle there "just in case" what you got initially wasn't enough!

Great way to keep your off track kid on focus.
