The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 41

The Good:
This year for Rosh Hashana I upped the desert ante. I took our usual winning honey cookie recipe, made it into little cookie cups, then filled it with sautéed apples. AMAZING! (this shot also garnered 90-something IG likes!)

The Random:
Soooo....I locked my keys in the car on to love the nice AAA man breaking into my car to reunite me with my duct taped key fob!

The Fun:
I went to a nice AU alumni event on Thursday night. The current university president is retiring after a decade at the helm. It was fun to see some AU friends who live in the area and celebrate my alma mater.

Happy New Year--the apple bites look fabulous! Glad AAA was able to rescue your car key! Reunions are fun--nice to catch up with people you have not seen in a long time.

That apple dessert looks yum! My kids would have my head on a platter if I deviated from the apple torte I make!

Your apple treats look yummy! I haven't locked myself out of the car in years but that's because the car won't lock with the key inside.

Looks so yummy! Glad you were able to get your keys back - I hate it when that happens. Have a great week!

Does there happen to be a recipe for the up the ante dessert? :) I am surprised that with everything so remote that there isn't an app the gain entrance into locked vehicles with automatic locks and especially those with keyless ignitions. My son's car has the keypad on the door that you can login and regain entrance (believe it or not, shortly after he got the car he managed the "impossible" and locked the key in his keyless car - the car that isn't supposed to be able to lock without having the key on you --- oy!)
