The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 46

The Good:
My bubbe always said that out of bad come good. I'm working backwards here...on Tuesday, I got to vote for a strong, smart, and amazing politician for president. It was emotional. It felt good to know I was a part of history. I will find the good in what the election results were. I already see good in how my family, friends, and the larger world are voicing love and vowing to be strong.
*regular non-political blogging resumes....now!

The Random:
So...I can say "I've gone to Harvard" now. I just wrapped up a graduate extension class on giving feedback to students and teachers in the math classroom. It was pretty interesting (albeit a ton of work for an online course). Upside, I went to Harvard in my pajamas. I also avoided the crazy Cambridge traffic...

The Fun:
Went out for sushi with a work/gym friend Sunday night. Best sushi in town.

I hope that your bubbe is correct, we should see a whole lot of good coming out of this mess.

Congratulations on the Harvard accomplishment! As I sat in my U.U. church on Sunday I had some of the same thoughts. My prayer is that we come out on the other side of these four years as individuals with a stronger commitment to love and care for one another.

Such pretty sushi! That is an awesome accomplishment that you attended Harvard (in your pj's no less!). I hope your bubbe is right, I think that's how a lot of us feel and hoping for better days to come.

It has been a tough week, the result seems to have bought out the absolute worse in some people. That is so sad but yes lets hope that love and tolerance wins out in the end

That sushi looks amazing! So fun about the Harvard class. And so sad about the election. Every time I think that this guy is going to be our president I'm like...what. Seriously.

this election has left many in shock - it's encouraging to see some people with their heads on straight, pulling together and hoping for the best. the violence and protests happening out here NEED to stop immediately.

Tamar, I'm still feeling the pain but loving the people I've met through the secret fb group "Pantsuit Nation" who are joining in to do good in the world as a response. That sushi looks amazing! Congrats on your impressive Harvard degree!
