B.A.A. 10K 2018

Run, run, run
Run, run, run

You better run, run, run
Run, run, run

{Run, Run, Run -- The Who}

Race number 8 of 2018 was on Sunday and I crushed it.

I ran the B.A.A. 10k last year for the first time and to be honest didn't get the time I really wanted...so this year I was out for a super solid PR! So much so that I was a nervous mess beforehand!

I am working hard on trusting the process of training and putting in the hard work and I was hoping it would show today....and it did!!

I ran a 58:41. SIX MINUTE PR and finally broke the hour mark! I really ran a great race, consistent miles, and head in the game.

It was a super fun day downtown too. So many Heartbreakers were running and so many others came out to cheer. There is nothing better than a bunch of high fives at mile 5.5 as you zoom to the finish.

I hung out with friends afterwards and just soaked up the epicness that is a solid 6 minute PR! I'm excited to dedicate the rest of the summer to Chicago Marathon training -- if this is what 6 months running with the best team can do for me I can't wait to see how I PR Chicago!

good on you for putting in the training and being motivated to run! Running has never been my thing although my husband used to run after work and my son does marathons. I have a lot of respect for you guys. Happy running!
