Banana Beet Smoothie

I first heard the idea of using beets in smoothies from running icon Shalane Flanagan's cookbook. Her recipe had a few ingredients not up my ally so I decided to make my own!
This came together so simply. Tasted amazing. And was pretty! To make it super easy to throw together, I buy pre-packaged and cooked beets. No peeling or real mess - just deliciousness!
Just another fun way to get veggies in!

...I enjoy beets and bananas, but I'm sure about having them together!

I'm not a beet girl, so I don't know if I could do this - BUT! I did not know you could buy pre-cooked beets! That is absolutely fascinating!

Beets are a mess to prepare fresh, but I do love them. Hoping for a good crop this year!

Tamar, this looks amazing! I have only ever cooked with fresh beets or canned ones...are there other types of pre-cooked beets? I would love to try this recipe!

I wish I liked beets. They are the one veggie I can't stand. They sure make pretty smoothies though!

Yum!! This looks SO good! I love putting veggies in my smoothies and usually use some kind of green or riced cauliflower. I'll have to try this!
