Chanukah Recap

Another Chanukah has come and gone! Another year of increasing light and joy, night to night. In a world that continues to feel increasingly dark, watching the power of light, growing brighter each night reminds you that there always light, if you know where to look.
May these lights continue to be a reminder that even the few have the power to rise up against the many. That we all have a light to share with the world. That even in darkness there is brightness. Happy Chanukah!

This question probably just illustrates my ignorance, but I thought menorah's had 8 candles. I'd never seen the set of 6 additional candles on each side. Do they have a special significance?
Thanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/12/the-blacksmiths-shop.html, and I hope you had a wonderful Chanukah!

What a beautiful Chanukah wish: "May these lights continue to be a reminder that even the few have the power to rise up against the many." Yes.

I love this post. Your words inspire hope. Lighting the candles each night, and knowing that I am sharing that ritual with Jews around the world is a wonderful feeling. Found you via Wordless Wednesday.
