Dior: Designer of Dreams

The Brooklyn Museum has the most amazing exhibit right now. An extensive and jaw-droppingly gorgeous collection of Dior's works. The galleries were filled with so many of Dior's designs. Each more stunning then the next.
The museum curated his works and filled the space in such creative ways. You really got a sense of what makes his designs so iconic and sought after by the fashion elite.

This is an amazing exhibit, Tamar, and your photos are gorgeous! I do love a beautiful dress design on a dress really showcases the designs as art in my mind. Although seeing the clothing on moving human forms is pretty artistic as well! Thanks for sharing these awesome pictures!

I saw that display being put together for traveling around the world by the London Museum UK in a documentary.

And how the items were chosen & grouped for display.

Also the process of restoration & maintenance by professional seamstresses for each garment. Fascinating!
