Summit One

A few months back another observation experience opened in the city. This one is high atop midtown at the new One Vanderbilt tower. I took advantage of a picture-perfect day to get up there and experience the immersive views. The space is floor to ceiling (and wall!) mirrors. You truly get views like no other. There are a variety of rooms each mirrored, but offering something new and unique as you take in views of the city and even NJ.
This was just beyond amazing! The mirrors made it so unique and so different. This isn't a simple "go look" type place, it was a true masterpiece. I'm surprised my stomach didn't drop off when I got up to the window glass, I think all the reflections made it feel less "on edge." When I was outside on the 93rd floor though and nowhere near the edge, well I was convinced I was going to topple over! This was really just so fun and worth the admission price in my book!

Tamar, this looks like such a cool place! But there is no way I could be up that high...mirrors or not!

Amazing views but also dizzying with the mirror reflections--sort of reminded me of old-time funhouse mirrors in Coney island

Okay, THIS is amazing. As you know, New York is on our travel bucket list and OH how I hope when we eventually get there, we get at least one proper stunning blue sky day to get to see views like this! All of this is amazing, but the views out over the city - ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
