The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 40

My heart is truly in Israel on the anniversary of the October 7th attack, it is far past time to bring them home now.

The Good:
We got our wedding pictures! They came out SO good and am loving looking through them.

The Random:
On Rosh HaShana, a tradition is to eat the head of a fish to symbolize that we be like the head, not the tail. We decided to make it a bit more enjoyable and used Scandinavian Swimmers from Trader Joe's instead!

The Fun:
We did an amazing 5-mile hike yesterday. It had a good 700 vertical feet climb and stunning views! We were down by the river and ended up back on top of the Palisades by the end!

It is heartbreaking that they have not been returned. I think maybe Scandinavian swimmers must be the new name for Swedish fish?

And already a year. What a nightmare. Peace, come.

I love the creativity regarding eating of the fish head! I think we all pray for Israel each day.

We had Trader Joe's fish heads too. My kids' friend was insistent we only eat the head and then of course Simon at the whole thing. lol.
